Odisha ended its campaign in the 2nd All-India U-19 Cricket Tournament for Dhruv Pandove Trophy, drawing all three matches against Bengal, Punjab and Vidarbha. In the first two matches Odisha could not get any point. But in the third against Vidarbha, the Odisha team collected two points by virtue of taking a slender first innings lead at Sector-16 Stadium in Chandigarh today.
Among the Odisha players, Ankit Yadav, Arya Debasish Bhatt, Suman Mohanty, Pratik Das, Suvendu Samal and Pratik Tripathy put up notable performance. Yadav bagged five wickets, scored 23 runs against Bengal and took two wickets against Vidarbha. Bhatt top scored with 43 against Bengal. Mohanty scalped two wickets against Bengal and four each against Punjab and Vidarbha.
Pratik Das was adjudged the man of the match against Vidarbha, top-scoring with 74 runs and picking up two wickets for 32 runs. He gave Odisha a solid start, stitching together 119 runs for the opening wicket with Pratik Tripathy, who missed a half-century by one run against Vidarbha. Das was also the top scorer against Punjab with 48 runs. Suvendu Samal hit an unbeaten 54 against Vidarbha.

October 4 and 5 (At Patiala): Punjab all out 240 in 74.4 overs (Rohan Marwah 59, Bhupinder Singh 58, Simranjit Singh 49; Suman Mohanty 4/50, Prakash Panda 3/47, Manish Rout 2/53) and 228 for 3 in 51 overs (Rohan Marwaha 119 n.o, Jaskaran Singh 63) drew with Odisha all out 166 in 65.2 overs (Pratik Das 48, Subhransu Senapati 26 n.o, Subhrajit Das 23; Abhilash Sharma 5/42, Vinay Choudhary 2/63).
October 7 and 8 (At Chandigarh): Odisha all out 270 in 87.2 overs (Pratik Das 74, Suvendu Samal 54 n.o, Pratik Tripathy 49, Ankit Yadav 27, Arya Debasis Bhatt 23; Janmejay 5/55, Siddhesh Neral 3/43) drew with Vidarbha all out 266 in 94 overs (Tishar Kadu 65, Abhishek Kawale 50, Kushal Kakad 47, Akshay Wadkar 32, Siddhesh Neral 23 n.o, Janmejay Acharya 22; Suman Mohanty 4/76, Pratik Das 2/32, Ankit Yadav 2/72).
